Murder Drones The Manor Linux/Controller Guide

This is a guide for how to play The Manor on Linux and/or with controller input. Made by EmberGamingStudios and ZzsarkStormbeard.

REQUIREMENTS

 Steam (Install Steam if you haven't already).

 A copy of The Manor by ZzsarkStormbeard (Download from https://gamejolt.com/games/TheManorMD/963919 and extract the RAR file).

 A modern Linux or Windows system (macOS is not supported).

ADDING THE MANOR TO STEAM

 On the top left corner of Steam, click "Games" > "Add a Non-Steam Game to My Library...", then locate the Game.exe executable, click "Open", and then click "Add Selected Programs".

SETUP PROTON (Ignore if you aren't using SteamOS/Linux)

 Go to Game.exe (The Manor executable) on Steam and click the Gear Icon > "Properties...", then click on "Compatibility", then click "Force the use of a specific Steam Play compatibility tool", then click the dropdown menu and select "Proton Experimental".

CONTROLLER SETUP (Ignore if you aren't using a controller)

 Go to Game.exe (The Manor executable) on Steam and click the Controller Icon /OR/ the Gear Icon > Manage > Controller Layout, next click "Enable Steam Input", now click "Browse Community Layouts for games without official controller support", then click "Community Layouts" (you may have to click "Show All Layouts"), then find and click "The Manor Controller Mapping" by embergamingstudios, and hit "Apply Layout".

CONTROLS (Ignore if you aren't using a controller)

Controller Button = Keyboard Key:

A = Z

B = X

D-pad = Arrow Keys

Left Joystick = Arrow Keys

LB = Esc

RB = Enter

LT = Shift

RT = Tab

Start(>) = X
